Can anyone identify this grand buffalo? This was taken in Eastbourne and I would imagine he must be a relative of one of my paternal grandfather. My grandfather was William Henry Hodges, born in 1887 - but this is not him. His father was Edward John Hodges (1853-1923) and he was the vaccination officer for Eastbourne. I am wondering if this is him. I am in touch with family in Eastbourne who may be able to throw a light on the identity of this gentleman. Of course, this may not be the same order of buffaloes and if not, maybe someone would recognise what uniform this is. I would be grateful for any information.
